Hihgly Highly Recommended....You can not pick a better source to receive riding training from. All aspects of the work is delivered at its best possible levels. Best decision I ever made was registering for this course. The whole team was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. Clear, concise, and they really help you to develop an understanding and build a solid foundation to set you up for success as a rider. Top notch group of proffesionals who truly are there to support each student.
This training was fantastic and it was a fun learning environment. All the instructors are seasoned pros, and great at what they do.Each of them bring some serious sense of humour to the course as well. So there was a lot of learning and some good laughs as well.
A good friend of mine recommended ProRide to me and I'm thankful he did.
The real beauty of this is that once you graduate its not over.
You are a ProRide alumni member for life and have the opprtunity to participate in advanced courses. Or maybe you dont ride for a long time and need a brush up. ProRide is there for you.
I'm only giving a 5 star rating because a 25 star rating (which they really deserve) wasnt an option.

The ProRide Motorcycle Training program is great for beginners who need the basics and and also experienced riders who want to weed out bad habits or refresh their skills. The parking lot skills course and practice time is a great way to learn and internalize techniques that can be life saving out on the road. Absolutely loved my Survival Rider Course with ProRIDE. All the instructors were fantastic, teaching step by step Motorcycle skills/techniques and safety awareness. The learning atmosphere was always positive with encouragement. I am now confident behind my bike and will continue to build all the skills I learned in the years to come.
I wish this course was mandatory for all beginner/novice BC riders. I'll be sending my daughter to ProRIDE when she's ready, hopefully next summer, riding beside Mom:) Top notch riding school.🏍

I took the ProRide course to get back into riding after a 24 year break. As a seasoned rider who had never taken any formal training, I was surprised how much important information I was missing about position in turns, space margins, braking, lane positioning, bike balance and control at slow speeds and traffic awareness.

I enjoyed the class sessions. The parking lot sessions started a bit basic for someone with experience, but soon the rest of the class were zooming around the parking lot. Amazing how quickly the new riders developed their skills with this course. The instructors are quick to recognize different skill levels and will adjust to accommodate your skill level as much as possible. The instructors are very real and have a great sense of humor (well, some do and some think they do haha)

In the end it was fun and I feel more confident and safer as a biker. Thanks John, Brian, Joel, Matt and the rest of the team at ProRide - see you in August for my road test support.

Took the Survival Training course in June ago and passed my ICBC road test 2 months later no problem.

Just took the Skills Upgrade class this weekend which filled in a bunch of knowledge & skill gaps I had with slow speed maneouvers. The tips and tweaks provided by the instructors have helped me eliminate the anxiety I had about dropping the bike while doing slow, tight turns. Recommended!

I have been riding since 1982 and Proride found out the habits and skills I need to change and improve on in no time. As a rider new to Canada, there is a lot to learn about road laws and conditions. Not sure where to begin, but let's start here.

I moved from Winterpeg(Winnipeg) to Vancouver for school, this was about 3 weeks ago. At the 2 week mark I realized how badly I wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle, so I looked up some places nearby. ProRide was one of the 2 or 3 that popped up, so I called each one and asked a few questions. ProRide immediately set off to answer each and every question, no matter how tedious or repetitive.

I signed up as soon as i ended the phone called with ProRide(The final one i called) and immediately took the knowledge test to attend the ProRide school.

Day 1/2: Classroom. It's a classroom. It's boring. But this wasn't the case for these guys. Brian and John made everything enjoyable.

Day 3/4: Bikes in the parking lot. The learning curve was indeed steep, but it was reachable thanks to the instructors at ProRide. All of them were helpful beyond your imagination. Let me put it simply, i'd have paid more for this course.

Day 5 - Road Ride: I was nervous, so were a few others. But It was beyond comfortable and felt second nature after only a couple minutes of being on the road with the instructor. The teaching they gave prepared us for this Road Ride (Not to mention the MST on day 4). And it was because of the instructors' knowledge at ProRide that made us ready for that Day 5. I cannot explain in words how appreciative I am of their hard work in teaching us all in ways that worked. It wasn't just 1 way of teaching, they adapted to everyone's needs. Some learned faster than others. They adjusted. They were professional.

I'm excited for the 2nd road ride which includes highway. I'm not even slightly nervous about it, all because these fine instructors have made us Road Ready in only 4 days. 4. Count it. 4. That's amazing for someone who has never ridden more than a bicycle.

They gave their time, sweat and tears to teaching us. They made it SO much fun, i didn't think it could be. But they did it. Do yourself a favour, take the course, pass like we did, and get that license. You'll be glad you chose Pro Ride.

To ProRide: Thank you. Thank you ALL so much for the hard work you put in to us. You are all amazing and will always be my recommendation for anyone who wishes to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Be safe!

I took the ProRide training this spring. A rainy weekend to be sure but my jaw hurt from smiling so much. I commute to work on my bike and practise what they taught, highway, street and parking lot work. This morning a car ran a red light, not at the tail end of a red, like two cars had already gone through the intersection ran a red light. I was in the middle lane when the mustang beside me hammered on the brakes. I stopped extremely hard and fast. No skid, no nose dive and I'm pretty sure I even down shifted the 52 times they hammer into you. Take the course, these guys know what they are doing. They will give you the skills to survive on the road and enjoy riding. No joke, this is the real deal. Thanks guys!

These guys are great... really! When I was signing up, I was a bit hesitant since the price seemed a bit too high, but when you go to the first class, you know what you are paying for. I had the privilege of taking the ProRide course this past weekend and am beyond thrilled at the expert level of instruction I received.

I progressed from 'complete newbie' to 'competent handler' in the span of two days!

The instruction is second to none -- these guys run a tight ship to say the least. The instructors really know their stuff; they run a very smooth and efficient program and were able to provide more than enough personal attention to EVERY participant to ensure that we all passed the skills test with ease.

It was an utter pleasure to be taught how to ride by these guys, and I am pretty sure that our interaction doesn't end with the end of the course. They seem to be a very sociable bunch who have built a solid riding community from their recruits.

I am very happy indeed that I jumped in with both feet and took the time to take this course -- 150% recommended!

I completed their Survival Training this weekend. There was a foot of snow in the parking lot and HAIL on test day. These guys worked their tails off to clear the lot and provide a world class experience. The Proride team Love what they do and it shows in their training. Before I started the Proride course I was a bit hesitated about money to spend for that. However, after completion the course I would say that it worth every single penny. The guys are not just good, the most important that they do care about you and are interested in your success. Also they taught a lot of things that maybe eventually would let you survive in tough road situations. One month later after their course I passed ICBC road test with the first attempt, and the examiner's feedback was - You did a great job, man! So, I do advise to invest you time and money - in really worth it. Btw, not to forget - it also was a real fun ))

I am happy to share that i have completed the ProRide motorcycle course. This course is fun, clear, and very easy to understand. This course wouldnt be the same without the awesome knowledgeable humerous instructors and the positive environment. My classmates were an excellent bunch aswell, you get a chance to get to know one another and have a great time. You will finish this course being more than satisfied with confidence inspiring survival skill knowledge, you will feel comfortable on the road on a motorcycle, and you'll feel like you belong on a motorcycle. I would strongly recommend ProRide to anyone!

What an amazing course! I can't imagine attempting to ride on the road without this course. The drills were definitely challenging and hugely helpful- learning to handle all sorts of different traffic or road situations by creating habits that will kick in in an emergency...and more importantly, learning how to avoid dangerous situations in the first place. Amazing teachers, plenty of practice time and non-stop one on one feedback. I only wish the course could continue and keep building on a very solid foundation! Thank you pro-ride!!!!

Absolutely fantastic!!! Instructors are great (if you like 80's music). The car park training is overwhelming at times but all of it becomes clear and natural on the road. I would definitely recommend taking this course.

Never drove standard much less a motorcycle before this course. �Now the clutch and I are best friends. John is such a patient and grounded person, really great to learn from. Matt gives insightful techniques while being witty and silly at the same time, Brian can ballroom dance on the motorcycle, and Gio is the suave one amongst them all. Did I mention they are all diehards for the 80's. Pure joy...�. Be prepared to get a brainful, its definitely worth the investment for your safety.�

This is probably one of the best courses I've ever taken in my life. I knew nothing when it comes to riding motorcycles safely, changing gears, turning, how to maneuver a motorcycle and speeding within the appropriate limits in highway. By the end of the course, I was able to do all of the above and feel comfortable doing it while having fun.

There's something to be said about the way all the instructors do their job. Not only they have fun doing it but the make sure that everybody gets the attention and advice that everybody needs as individuals which is usually rare in group courses.

Special thanks to John who was always there paying attention to everyone and always concluding with uplifting comments and positive/constructive feedback. He's the one who took the group I was in on the road and he was able to gage our strengths and weaknesses.

At the end of the day, these are all a bunch of cool people that are helping others in learning how to ride safely. Job incredibly done!

Pro Ride came recommended by friends of mine and it didn't take long to see why. From minute one the guys were awesome. Thanks to the pro ride experience, and there's none other quite like it, I find myself anticipating traffic problems whether in my pick-up or on my bike. Before going into this course I was very nervous. During the classroom sessions, the instructors took a very serious approach to teaching the knowledge needed to ride safe, but making the environment very relaxed and throwing a little humor to lighten the mood. All the instructors were very knowledgeable, and did everything they could to support a survival attitude on the bike, in the parking lot and the road rides. They went above and beyond to demonstrate safe rising practices, and made sure that all the students could complete the basic maneuvers before moving on. I would highly recommend Proride to anyone wanting to get on a bike. Thank you for the great experiences, and hope to see you all on the Saturday road rides provided after graduation. After experiencing a scary incident as a passenger in my early 20s, I never thought I would be a passenger ever again, let alone ride a motorcycle myself. A few years ago, I decided to try being a passenger again, and started riding with my husband. His patience, knowledge, safe driving habits and encouragement helped me to learn to enjoy being on a bike. Thanks sweetie!

A couple of years later, I decided to get my motorcycle licence. I researched motorcycle riding schools online and came across ProRide. I enjoyed all aspects of the course and had a lot of fun learning how to ride safely with a great group of people. The training is intense and tiring, but so worth it! And the joy you feel when you ride a bike for the first time is something that I won't ever forget.

I am now the proud owner of my very first bike, a 2008 Suzuki Marauder 250 and was thrilled to ride with my husband tonight for the first time. All the skills I learned in class stuck with me, so I was prepared for the dumb @!# who rolled through the stop sign to my right and cut in front of me. I slowed down, scanned the intersection and was ready for that possibility, therefore no panic, no problem. And this is why anyone wanting to ride should contact ProRide. After spending a considerable amount of time researching motorcycle training schools I decided on ProRide. I had high expectations and all of them were exceeded and the course provides great value for the money, well worth it.
The instructors were extremely knowledgable and cared about your own experience as a student and a rider. I liked the progressive way the info/skills were delivered so I felt more and more confident on the bike as the days progressed.

Just finished my 6 day Survival ring class with Proride where they bring you from zero to hero. What an amazing group of individuals with a wealth of knowledge. I was recommended to take Proride from one of my buddies who has been riding for ten years. He said Proride was the best out of all the motorcycle schools and after completing the course I would have to agree. Survival is key to riding a bike and that is the objective of Proride's course - train habits to safe riding so we all can enjoy the road for years. Proride is THE BEST! The training is intensive and very consistent. Everything I do while I ride today is in my muscle memory because of Proride. I feel so confident and yet know to always be on my game. Brian is such a great trainer and is so dedicated to his role in making you a confident and safe rider. This course is a must.

I'm in my 50's and decided it was now or never. I went from Learner's Permit, to passing my skills test on the forth day of training, and passed my road test all within 5 months. That included winter months. Started in October. Fully licensed by March.

After a long time (25 yrs) away from riding I decided to take it up again this year. Hello out there this is Colin Yarrow downhill mountain bike athlete/current BC provincial champion.
Being a downhill racer at a world championship level I have no doubt that I can handle a bike however when jumping from mountain bike to motorcycle and putting yourself out there in the general public I had to rethink "how much do I really know".

I just completed the first half of the pro ride course today and the amount of knowledge that i've taken in so far has exceeded my expectations.
We haven't even hit the road yet (parking lot skills training only so far) and I feel a lot more confident in not just bike handling skills but making myself visible to others and aware of how many hazards there are or could be.

Not to mention "pro ride" has the most down to earth instructors I have ever met.
Can't wait for the road portion over the next couple of days rain or shine.

I went in green having only ridden a bicycle....and that was many years ago. Right from the first classroom lesson, I knew this was going to be well worth my time and money. The instruction from Brian in the classroom was insightful, well presented and interesting.
The parking lot training with Brian and Matt was perfect....starting off with basics and moving towards riding a motorcycle. Safety was always first and foremost.
The road ride with Marcell and Matthew instilled a much needed sense of "I can do this on the road".

Amazing experience!!! Brian, Matt, Jen and all of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable. And let's not forget PATIENT :) The structure and progression of the parking lot training made sense and enabled me to become comfortable on the bike quickly. The road rides were well thought out and allowed us to practice many different skills to prepare us for practicing on our own. Everyone wanting to learn how to ride a motorcycle needs to take this course. I will definitely be taking it again as a refresher. I might even take it again in a month or so just to drive everything home.

If you're new to the riding scene and are looking for a great way to get introduced to both theory and practical riding skills, then the ProRide course is an absolute must. I've been riding dirtbikes since I was a little guy and I can definitely say that there is still a ton to learn when it comes to the transition to the streets. The guys and gals at ProRide offer a great learning environment, welcome any questions you may have, and take the time and consideration to tend to those who may need a little extra help, all while doing it with a smile on their face and a joke or two to back it up. Amazing instructors, great road safety tips and tricks with very applicable drills. They really focus on how to properly handle the bike in life saving scenarios on top of offering a great foundation of simply riding. Awesome experience with Chris/Kevin in the classroom and Warren/Kevan in the parking lot. As a returning rider who hadn’t been on a bike in 15 years, the survival course was super helpful in getting my confidence / skills back. All of the instructors were patient, skilled, encouraging, & actively sought feedback in terms of how they were teaching us ie) asking if there was anything more they could do to help us grasp a concept or if they should explain something differently. Also got lots of practice singing Barbie girl to chill out on the bike 😂. Highly recommend

I can’t imagine a better, more well-rounded experience than what ProRide provides.The classroom sessions with Instructor Kevin provide you with solid theory and no-nonsense safety info that helps you make better decisions before and during your time riding a motorcycle.The parking lot training with Ben, Carol and Christopher gives you real-world experience and plenty of practice time. They nearly over-prepare you for the MSA, which is great because you leave with more skills than you thought possible. Another bonus is that you get the opportunity to try many different bikes and find what you enjoy the most.All of the instructors are patient, knowledgeable and very generous with their time. Both the practical and theoretical portions of the course were well designed to teach you everything, from no knowledge of anything to do with a motorcycle, to having the knowledge and skills to ride one safely and confidently.All the instructors were fantastic and enthusiastic and very knowledgeable.Even on one of the hottest days of the summer, they were very professional and friendly and gave us all the opportunity to stay well hydrated through good break management.Anybody wanting to learn how to ride a motorcycle or even shaking off some old dust of skills that were long forgotten, this course would be great for everyone.Highly recommend.

Carol was an amazing instructor. She conducted my MST and prepped me for my road test which I passed successfully. Carol took the time to make sure I knew every maneuver that I would need not only for the test but for actual riding. Everything I learned on my MST such aa emergency braking, u-turns, etc I used within days of hitting the road. I have ridden approximately 4000km since taking my MST. Today I received my full 6 and I owe that to the help and support Carol provided. Thank you Hella Rider. You are the only school I would recommend.

Highly recommended.ProRide offers a great set of courses with knowledgable instructors who are enthusiastic about riding and that care about teaching you what you need to be safe on the road and enjoy motorcycling (and to get your license). I signed up with ProRide to get back on a bike after many years (20+) of not riding. I rode daily for several years when I was younger and expected the course to help me get back on two wheels without having my own bike but I learned so much more than I was expecting. This type of training is exactly what every rider should have to set them up with good habits from the start.

Completed the ProRIDE Survival Training Course today, and what a excellent experience for a new rider. Carol, Ben and Christoper are all excellent instructors. I wasn't sure what to expect in the two theory days in the classroom, but I was surprised by how much I learned. Christopher's technical knowledge is excellent and he made what could have been a really dry topic a lot of fun. The two on-bike days with Carol and Ben were also great. They both have such calm personalities and their teaching style is very respectful. No yelling at mistakes, just laughing, coaching and encouragement. I still have a lot to learn, but at least I know what I need the proper way to ride and what to practive. I'm looking forward to the traffic session.I highly recommend ProRIDE.

I decided to get licensed to ride a street bike and a friend recommended ProRide as THE place learn how to ride safely and proficiently on a motorcycle.I loved the 2 nights of theoretical training in the class with John BUT the best part was the practical training on the bikes, in the closed off parking lot at CapU.I grew up riding bikes but the class had a mix of all skill levels and I have to applaud the trainers for being so professional and how they made it fun for everyone.I highly recommend this group for training and today I did my pre-icbc-road-test-training and “passed” with flying colours!Thanks again everyone!!! For beginners and rusty riders alike, ProRIDE is an excellent motorcycle training school to learn riding skills. They call it survival skills. The course begins with a two-day theory class followed by two days of motorcycle riding lessons where students learn both slow and fast riding. You are tested for the ICBC MST on the second day, and if you pass the next day, you are instructed on how to ride in traffic. We had excellent instructors. Their demonstrations and words constantly guided me and others towards correct skills and techniques, always in a kind, calm manner. My sincere thanks go out to Ryan, Mat, Calvin, and Warren for their efforts in helping me become a better rider.

Had an amazing time at ProRide! (minus the weather). Being the first time I ever step foot on a motorcycle, and having to learn how a clutch works, I was quite concerned and nervous I wouldn’t be able to figure it out quickly enough. To my relief, the entire course is structured to take complete beginners (me) and experienced riders alike, from zero to hero…well, I’m not riding like Tom cruise yet, but the fact I’m riding comfortably speaks volumes.The instructors are all great, you can tell they got the whole process down to a science so anyone can easily plug and play. I was also surprised to see such a high level of enthusiasm, despite being in the “quiet group”, the instructors never dropped their energy, such great attitude is hard to find. I certainly recommend proride to anyone who’s looking to start riding, or to improve their skills.

Just completed a great weekend on the ProRide Survival Training course. It was fantastic from start to finish - professional but more importantly fun too. The parking lot sessions where fun, interactive and with plenty hands on bike experience. Matt, Marty & Warren were awesome throughout with patience and a smile helping us all get on two wheels safely! We did Traffic 1 yesterday (I was in Marcel's group), I drove a 750cc Harley (a lifelong bucket item) and couldn't believe that after just 2 days I had the confidence to do so - that's down to the team at ProRide. I quickly realized that going at speed is fairly manageable on a bike, the real issues come at slow speed and maneuvering - which is what this course is all about.So glad I took it and would recommend to any new starters!

Having never driven a motorcycle before ProRIDE, the practical hands-on component of the course was not without challenges for me; the weekend was filled with stress, tears, and cursing. However, all three road instructors (Kevin, Marty and Matt) were absolutely amazing and very patient managing my numerous “challenges” over the weekend. Each instructor has a unique style and approach to teaching, coaching, explaining, and their combined skills and knowledge make them a fantastic team. I did the survival rider course recently and had a fantastic experience! One of the best learning environments that I've been a part of, all thanks to the staff. They are all incredibly knowledgeable and personable, using humour as well as an innate understanding of people to make everyone's experience positive and comfortable. You will learn the skills to ride safely and be prepared to venture out on the roads on your own. Safety is drilled into you and you leave the class knowing that, while you now have a good foundation of skills, you're not an expert and will be learning for life! Was pleasantly surprised to hear about additional services offered to grads to further support their journey as a rider.

Overall the experience was amazing. When it came to the in class lectures Joel was incredibly informative and kept us engaged. When it came to the practical portion, Matt was incredibly enthusiastic and made sure everyone was being taken care of. Matt was also incredibly informative and truly helped progress us in confidents and ability, all within the short time of being in the program. Huge props to Matt and the other instructors (Otto, Roy) for really taking the time to help teach those in the class who were struggling. If I could give my experience at ProRIDE more than 5 stars I would. I recently took the Survival Rider Training Program with John, Otto, Brian, and Matt. They were EXCEPTIONAL with their instruction, demonstration, feedback and all with some humour. I'm a brand new rider with NO experience at all (can't drive a stick shift) and over 40 years old. Needless to say, I needed a lot of help. I can't imagine anyone not taking a motorcycle course even if you had some knowledge/experience. I appreciated learning about the safety aspect of riding. Naturally, they differentiated instruction to meet all the needs of the learners and at the end of my last lesson I felt encouraged and inspired to do more riding. I only wish that the training was longer....haha...practice time:)

I finished my Survival Rider weekend training last night (the first class of the year), and the whole experience was great! As a middle-aged guy who has lost a bit of his more risk-prone side, I was somewhat nervous to jump on a bike for the first time ever. ProRIDE made this so much easier and enjoyable. The instructors were all approachable, friendly, and really patient in answering questions. You can tell they want everyone to succeed in learning to ride and enjoy motorcycling. John, Brian, Matt (alright meow!), Joel, and the other instructors were really engaging and they kept us laughing through the initial frustration of learning to ride. I am shocked at how much I enjoyed the city ride last night and how confident I felt riding a bike with the group through North Vancouver. I highly recommend ProRIDE to anyone that is considering learning to ride!

I learnt techniques and skills that I had not gained in my 6 years of riding experience hitherto.Motorcycling is an intuitive exercise in my opinion; and the ace instructors at ProRIDE are tremendously adept at enabling their students to discover their own potential in becoming successful and capable riders. All the sessions were super fun- as all learning should be- and each one of us had the privilege of individual attention and assessment.I would like to convey my deepest appreciation to ProRIDE'S maestros- Brian Antonio, Joel Cajapin, John Buddo, Matt Grannis. I would strongly recommend ProRIDE to anyone thinking of taking up riding. I was a little nervous going into it, but came out feeling ecstatic about riding and confident in my ability.I actually took ProRIDE's Survival Rider Training course back in 2016, and it was my first ever experience riding a motorcycle. I remember being very pleased with the course and instructors and feeling relatively confident by the end of it.For no reason other than circumstances, I didn't touch another bike again until recently when I was finally able to get a bike of my own, but having only ridden during the one course, and it being such a long time since, I wasn't sure that I would still remember how to. That being said, my concerns quickly disappeared after I sat on the bike and my muscle memory got me going; it was super easy to get back into and felt very natural. This made me even more certain that the decision to learn from ProRIDE was a great one.Thanks again ProRIDE, and I apologise for such a late review!

I have been riding for over 30 years on and off and steadily for the last 17 years. After purchasing a 900 pound Ultra Limited Harley, I wanted to take a skills refresher course to improve my skills. The 4 hour parking lot course and exercises modeled after the Oregon State police program was excellent along with our main instructor John. At 150.00 per rider for 4 hours of excellent skills training in a large parking lot, this course is definitely more than worth it. At the end of the 4 hours, my hog felt at least 200 pounds lighter and slow speed U turns, right turns, figure 8's are now a breeze. They had a very solid curriculum, and all the explanations were very simple and easy to understand, and all their demonstrations were gradually exaggerated so that i could see well. My experience with PRORIDE has been absolutely fantastic. If you want to learn to ride, come see these guys! They are knowledgeable, patient and very friendly. The PRORIDE instructors know their stuff and teach the foundations of riding and how to be a responsible rider. Take their course, you won’t be disappointed. My motorcycling journey has been a long and difficult one but Brian, John, Otto and Matt (and everyone else there) have been so supportive and encouraging I’d give them 6 stars if I could! They go above and beyond to make sure all their students are equipped with the right tools to ride safely. I can’t say enough good things about them.I’ve also taken their motorcycle skills upgrade course and I HIGHLY recommend it for riders of all experiences. Best money you will ever spend - fantastic value for the $$.I had such a good experience with Pro Ride. I had started up riding after an 8 year absence and dropped my bike with a couple of broken bones. I decided to redo my training right from scratch and I feel so good about my decision. I now think my fall was the best thing that could have happened.The class had an excellent review of the basic principles of safe riding - lane position & changes, signs, merging, correct gear to wear, highest potential for accidents etc. - and then was followed by two rigorous days in the parking lot at the beautiful North Vancouver Campus of Capilano University. We sweated (July, 30 degrees) in full gear, but learned a ton and I felt my confidence returning as I began re-mastering slow speed riding, where the majority of drops/falls etc. can happen.We also were able to try different bikes, and I tried them all: Honda Grom, Yamaha dirt bike, Honda Rebel 250, Harley Davidson 500. I realized that I had no business riding my new-to-me-bike anywhere but a parking lot until I learned its idiosyncracies of clutch, throttle and brakes. Every bike I tried at Pro Ride was different, including within the type: 3 Groms, 3 Harleys, 5 or 6 Yamahas and a couple of Rebels. Each was entirely unique for ride - a big learning lesson!I repassed my skills test, which is satisfying at age 55, and got to go on the traffic ride on a heavy 250 Suzuki that was top heavy... just like my bike. And surprise surprise, it was all fine! I did the u-turns without difficulty.The absolute best thing about Pro Ride though is the personalities and expertise of the instructors. Learning to sing 80s songs while mastering complex manouvers was brilliant and hilarious, and Matt and Otto made the parking lot days so much fun I was sorry when it was over. Brian is also extremely funny, and strict, a good counterpoint; and John has a lot of experience on dual sport and off-road riding - being able to pick their brains about bikes and rides was a bonus.It's so affordable! If you're looking to get your license it is the best money you will ever spend - you get a practice test, an extra traffic ride, as a graduate you can rent their bikes by the day to practice on, and use one of their bikes to take your ICBC road test. You also get some gear and new bike purchase discounts. It's really an amazing program.Everyone in our class (16) passed. Pretty great track record. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The team at ProRide are top notch riding experts who teach a balance of riding skills and safety strategies. I was an experienced rider but its been a while since I have been on a bike; over 10 years. I had thought I could get back in the saddle with a rental but a friend recommended ProRide for a refresh. After the refresher program I realized there were some gaps and that I had developed a couple of subtle bad habits. Wow - that's all I can say.I have never sat on a motorcycle in my life and wanted to get into it since my wife rides. She was devastated to hear that in BC, it is not mandatory to take a course before your exam, and advised that I needed to take one. I remember seeing the ProRide group ride up and down my friend's street in their vests night after night, so I looked them up. All of the reviews were like mine, so I figured I would give it a shot. 100 people saying the same thing couldn't be wrong. I signed up for the course and showed up. From this point forward, I was blown away.Not only was I so appreciative of everything I was taught, but it was so awesome to have so many instructors, all with their own personalities. Each of them was patient, positive and downright hilarious. When I started the parking lot day, I figured there was no way I'd ever grasp all this, and 4 days later I was on the highway!I can't thank ProRide enough for teaching me the essentials, as well as the life saving skills that ALL motorcyclists should know. Another bonus was being able to try out a ton of different bike styles to see what I liked.Thanks again, ProRide - see you out there!

If you are considering taking up motorcycle riding then I highly recommend Pro Rides Survival Rider Training course. All the instructors are awesome and very professional. The course teaches you everything you need to know and gets you riding the right way. I was able to pass the ICBC exam on my first attempt and more importantly you learn defensive riding techniques to keep you safe every time you get on a motorcycle.

I recently moved to BC from ON and needed to start the entire license process from scratch here. I have taken an equivalent course to Pro Rides Survival Rider course in Toronto and I cannot tell you how much better Pro Rides was. The teachers were awesome in every way. The course was very flexible around my tough schedule and I felt that it prepared me properly for the tests. It really was a very positive experience. You wont beat it.

If you're brand new to motorcycles, you'd be a fool to not consider taking the Survival Riding course. The guys are extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Even after I had finished the program, Brian had still provided support with an ICBC licensing issue I had - something he had absolutely no obligation to do.Kudos to the ProRide guys. Thanks to them, I went from no experience whatsoever on a motorcycle, to full license in about 6 weeks (Yep, passed the ICBC road test on the first try). Proride staff teaches riders how to be safe. They do not teach how to “pass” the exam, however if one applies the principles taught in class the exam is no issue. The course starts at a fundamental level and progressively builds upon each lesson. The class bikes are great to learn with, school location is fantastic, road rides are awesome; simply put Pro Ride rocks! Five stars!

I thought I knew how to ride a motorcycle before taking the survival rider course. Sure, I knew how to stop, go, and turn. But I learned so much in the classroom and the parking lot stage (lane position, emergency braking, maneuvers, parking, and the list goes on) that I definitely recommend this to any rider. ProRide provides a very well structures and well taught course. I had not been on a motorcycle for many years and by the end of the course I was comfortably on the highway. The course takes students through each step of the learning process - it is challenging but the instructors are very supportive. If you want to learn to ride you should take this course.

I'm 60 and ready to get rolling again after a long time on just 4 wheels. This training provided everything I needed and WAY MORE. Everyone is highly competent, super friendly, and skilled at helping each person regardless of their learning style or limitations. They go the extra mile for people having difficulties, and also recognize your developed skills and help you build them even further. This is NOT A "CANNED" program although the content is basically the same each time, the difference is in how they work with each individual and their limitations or existing skills. They have been doing this for about 17 years and the value added from this experience is noticeable!

If you've never been on a bike before, the parking lot exercises will frustrate you but you'll learn the basics you need to get out on the road. The stuff you learn in the classroom is 100% necessary for passing your road test AND making you a safe rider. Also, the road rides are great for building confidence in a safe setting. These guys teach great skills and give you the necessary knowledge to get your full license if you're committed to practicing what they teach.The skills I learned with this course allowed me to pass my road test in the first shot.

If you're looking to get your bike license, this is where you need to go. The instructors make it really fun while at the same time driving home the points that will keep you safe on the road. Also, the skill test is included, which allows you to practice on your own before you go take your road test. Bikes are provided for the course but they also rent out bikes for practice if you don't own your own. Not only that, they provide a bike for you to do your road test and also schedule a practice ride before the exam. I'm genuinely surprised that they don't charge more for this course. An excellent experience from beginning to end!

Originally I chose ProRide because there was no other alternative to acquire my MSA certificate. I didn't regret my choice and after two days on the parking lot with Matt, Otto and Raymond I was ready to ride on the road. On our final day we rode out to Horseshoe bay through the low road and back via the highway in the pouring rain. I had a great time with ProRide and even got comfortable on a 500cc sportbike by the end of the course. Initially I was a little nervous and anxious about riding a motorcycle but those concerns were relatively quickly alleviated by the staff. In 6 days you were able to instill me the philosophy, tactics and strategies how to be a safe rider. I passed the skills test with Brian, Matt and Otto's feedback. The road ride was great, I never thought that I would ever be able to ride 90 km\hr on highway before the course. From the classroom to the parking lot and finally to the rode rides the teaching was progressive and layered so that each skill was related to the next and built upon. The skills were broken down and the emphasis on fundamentals and safety was exemplary. I Also, I found the practical components were very well monitored and supervised as there were enough instructors to ensure feedback was immediate and effective. The consistent message and teaching points from each instructor were very clear and it was very evident that all instructors were very knowledgeable in each area of riding. Beyond the level of professionalism, all the instructors stayed focused but yet kept the mood light, fun and used humor to relax myself and the other students. I will definitely be recommending Pro Ride to my friends and others. Once again, thank-you for emphasizing the safety portion of riding, I will not forget it. Thanx again, guys you were great. I will remember and continue to practice the techniques I was taught.

Just passed the road test today!I took the course two years back with Brian, Jen and Matt as instructors. The instructors make the course what it is: truly awesome! I learned so many things and when I talk about it with experienced riders (even 20+ years experience), they still often say "wow, I never knew that!" - another point to make is that ProRide taught me how to ride in packs...most riders never get this training.The practice riding was excellent and they fully prepared me for my skills and road test, both of which I passed with flying colours because of their training and instruction. They also provided me with the bike to use for the road test which is a huge bonus because I didn't have one!Thanks guys! Keep it up! You're who I recommend to anyone wanting to ride.Tip to new riders:Do the course, pay attention, have confidence and most of all have fun. These guys will get you to the end without a doubt.

The instructors are excellent. A balanced mix of serious skills and knowledge combined with humor and an easy going relaxed environment and patience in which to learn how to safely ride. I enrolled in there course starting on the 6th of August and was told the earliest I could get in to do my road test through ICBC would be late October due to limited road test space at ICBC. I was asked if I would liked to be notified if there was any cancellations I maybe able to get in earlier, sure! So two weeks after starting the course I passed my road test. There is no way I would have felt comfortable or even though possible that in a couple weeks I would go from thinking about riding to being confident, have my own bike and a full license. I'll first start by saying as a petite female, I was quite nervous about learning to ride a motorcycle. That changed pretty quick once I met everyone at Proride!! Brian is hilarious, full of energy and made the theory portion of proride a ton of fun! There was never a dull moment learning in the parking lot with Brian and Matt. There were many points and ideas I hadn't even considered.The parking lot riding/testing with Brian and Matt was also extremely valuable, humorous and professional. Safety is the number one concern with these folks and it shows. I went from having never sat on a bike to riding confidently. I took the Pro Ride course with a friend in June 2015 after deciding to finally get my motorcycle licence. We both had a great time with the other people in the class. I bought a bike shortly after taking the course and I passed my ICBC road test this week. I have put almost 2000km on my bike already.The instruction from Brian, Matt and Jen was always professional and hugely informative, and a lot of fun. The classroom instruction was full of valuable tips for anticipating possible dangers and riding safely. The parking lot practice and road rides were gradual and ideal for riders of all levels.The ProRide team were very helpful at all stages- including the practice road test, and they even come to assist you with advice during your ICBC Road Test. I give them my highest recommendation.If you are considering getting your motorcycle license- give them a call. THEY TRULY CREATE SURVIVAL RIDERS.

I took the course originally in 2011 and after a few years of not riding, wanted to do a refresher course this year to just get a bit of confidence back. They had many options for me and I opted for the weekend parking lot skills portion. Every time I have taken this course it translates to me being a better rider and (car) driver. The staff is super supportive, patient and knowledgeable and I wish the course was longer just to interact with them! They really identify where any weaknesses may be and make sure that you overcome them. I highly recommend to all my friends to get their motorcycle training done here as I know that they are fun and fantastic at creating survival riders and when you leave Proride, you know that you will be well-equiped to handle the roads.

Yes, the name says it all... giving us newbies the essential lessons in understanding BEFORE we need it... rather than LEARNING LATER after a mistake.The entire course is detailed, and the urgency in the lessons... urgency since we are dealing with life and (the outcome of a mistake)... is so relevant.IMO you cannot learn from a friend. I really do feel remarkably equipped now as a Survival Rider!.Brian's classroom sessions are packed with crucial information and delivered in a way that makes four hours pass like just one. On Skills Test day Brian provided the perfect balance between discipline and friendly support. Day One on the lot, Jen's approach to instruction and coaching was great for building our skills and confidence; she was fantastic at accurately pointing out what each of us need to work on. Brian is a natural instructor, passionate about bikes and rider safety, he beautifully passed on his knowledge and kept me entertained at the same time, making the on slot of information manageable.Jen is fantastic! Her laid back approach is calming and reassuring. She was my road instructor and her ability to clearly communicate while on the road put me at ease and her skills were impressive.Thanks ProRide for a great experience, I'm practicing the techniques and skills daily.

Took the course in May 2015 ..Very helpful and knowledgeable trainers. It was an awesome experience full of fun. The techniques and tips can really help even experienced riders. If you are in Vancouver and looking to learn motorcycle riding....pro ride is the best there is....highly recommended! Believe me you will have loads of fun. Brian, Jen, Matt all are great. Must do course!

I took the course in April 2015 and being a new rider it met and exceeded all my expectations. Worth every penny. Instructors are great, all of them. Matt (both Matt's), Jen, Brian, Marcel, they all have their own style, all great.The course is really intensive. Two 4 hour classes of theory made as fun as they can be by Brian, with tons of great content that can save your life down the road (literally down the road). Parking lot days are also intensive and demanding in a very good way. Instructors emphasize a lot on good technique and not developing bad habits, again, life saving skills.Finally, the rides on the two final days in traffic, really helpful, lots of good guidance, and plenty of time to start feeling comfortable on the bike around traffic. I'm very happy of having spent the money and I feel way more confident now to go and get my motorcycle to enjoy BC roads.If you're considering it, don't hesitate anymore, go take this course.

I just finished the course and had an absolute blast doing it. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and super friendly. No question is left unanswered, and their demos are all really well done. Being able to get on a bike and ride around with an instructor helping you out was invaluable, and the road rides you get to do at the end of the course really sealed the deal. If you're thinking about getting your motorcycle license I cannot recommend these guys enough. You will not regret it, and you'll be better off for it.

I just rode out of ICBC with my motorcycle licence! I highly recommend anyone going through the process to let ProRide guide you through it. I received _true_ instruction in the class, in the parking lot and on the road. They were able to answer all my questions, put me at ease on the motorbike, offer their wealth of knowledge and train me to ride at a higher standard than what ICBC expects. Purely worth it.
