Suspension of ICBC Testing

As of March 17th, ICBC has suspended all road tests and skills tests until further notice in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, to further meet physical distancing requirements, all driver knowledge tests have been suspended indefinitely, for motorcycle and passenger vehicles, unless there is a legal requirement to obtain a licence (e.g. new resident to B.C.). Commercial vehicle knowledge tests will continue.

Accordingly ProRIDE has closed off booking at this time for road tests and pre-test sessions, and will reopen the booking system when ICBC Testing Services have resumed.

Please note that ProRIDE remains open for MSA testing for eligible students who have a learner’s license and completes our ICBC-approved program.

Expiring Licenses

We are aware that many students are getting to that point where your learner’s licenses are expiring or close to expiring. We have brought this to ICBC’s attention, however at the moment they have no alternative plans in place to extend or renew a learner’s license.

If your license expires, you will need to re-do the knowledge test, once testing resumes at ICBC. You will also need to re-do the MSA (parking lot test) to get back to the point where you can ride by yourself and plan for your road test.

We will continue to communicate with ICBC and keep our students current with all the latest news and information on licensing.

Please continue to monitor our website and social media news feeds in order to stay current with the road testing situation.
