ProRIDE Response to COVID-19

Updated March 18th, 2020

Like many of you at home, we here at ProRIDE have been following along as each day the federal & provincial governments and public health authorities have made new information available in the fight against COVID-19.

We must reiterate that at present there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 related illness amongst the ProRIDE community, and statistically the risk remains low for the general population.

That said, while we feel it is possible to run our courses safely and in compliance with all directives issued by the public health authorities, we also feel that it would be prudent at this time to postpone group classes until we learn more about the effectiveness of efforts within Canada, BC, and Metro Vancouver, to contain the spread of the virus.

Therefore as of today we are announcing the temporary suspension of ProRIDE group classes and services. We will continue to monitor the daily news updates from the government and health authorities, and hope to resume those services in two weeks time.

For the time being, we have temporarily waived the late-rescheduling fee for students who are scheduled to attend in the next two weeks and are able to defer their classes; those students will also receive an extra Traffic Class credit which can be used post-course. Courses can be changed 24/7 online through your ProRIDE user account:
www.proride.ca/login

We will be reaching out over the coming days to provide assistance as needed for those who have not been able to reschedule their courses online.

While suspending group classes is an appropriate step at this time, we remain open and available for 1-on-1 training:

Graduates can also reserve training bikes for 1-week rentals:

Finally, registration remains open at this time for classes and services beyond the two-week suspension period.

We appreciate your understanding in these trying times and look forward to working with you all in the next few weeks. Please don’t hesitate to reach out by phone or email to discuss your concerns and questions. We also invite you to continue to monitor our Social Media newsfeeds, as we communicate with you all over the coming days.

Sincerely,

~Brian Antonio, School Director
